GorbGreenII problems - 10-04-2004, 06:07 PM

I'm running PHPNuke7.4 with Admin Secure and Protector.

I installed the new GorbGreenII theme pack and it looks great, but I lost the security code on all logins.

Also, I can only access the Forum through the lefthand module link. When I try to access Forum through the Admin panel I get this error on a white page:

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not open GorbGreenII template config file

DEBUG MODE

Line : 353
/var/www/html/includes/functions.php

Any ideas on how to restore the seciruty code and access Forums through the admin panel?

Thanks in advance

You installed the theme INCORRECTLY! UGH!
Read the README.txt file. It says:
Upload Pack-GorbGreenII/themes/GorbGreenII fodler to your themes folder on your FTP.
THAT IS ALL!
Looks like you tried to add it to the Forums style area. w:

My Advice.
Go into your MySQL Database.
Go to your _bbconfig table and browse it. Under there is a value called default_style. Change it's number to 1 instead of whatever it is. The number for the default sttyle needs to be the number that is set for the subSilver template in the _bbthemes table, which is usually 1, unless you deleted that Style from the Forums Admin Styles area.

**nods head**

It's true, I'm a rookie.

That worked slick, Mike. Thank you, again. I went there (to MySql db) earlier looking for that, because I hunted that same solution down, but I didn't realize that when I viewed the table it was one more than one page. For some reason I happened to notice the >> at the bottom this time. Sheesh.

My next question then, is, do I have to settle for the default theme? Are the forum themes installed independent of the Nuke themes? I've been looking for info on that, too, but still trying to find out for sure exactly how it's done.

With our theme packs, you have a Forum theme that matches the Nuke theme already(together). The ONLY thing in the Forums that need to use the subSilver forum template is the Forum Admin area.
The only time your users will see the Forum default theme(subSilver) is if you use a Nuke theme that does not have a matching Forum theme with it.

I would look for theme PACKS. That way you have a Nuke theme and matching forum theme and don't have to worry about it.

You really shouldn't have to mess with your forum theme at all with the way the Nuke themes are setup now. I would also stay away from any phpBB templates made just for phpBB as they may not function correctly in the phpBB in PHP-Nuke.

P.S. Sorry for hitting you on the head up there...
