Help with themes - 07-07-2003, 11:34 PM

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm really new to phpnuke and having a little trouble with themes.

How exactly do you install them? I can't seem to find any documentation on the net so was wondering if I could bag you good ppl ops:

Thanks in advance

You just put it in the theme folder...and there is usually a block too, just add that to the blocks folder

hmmm....

In almost all the themes I've downloaded quite literally the only theme.php file in there is .php

like I say I've tried putting everything in just a theme folder and it crashed my nuke.

p.s. you know a safeguard I can method to stop this happening in the future? i.e. is there some line in a .php file somehwere I can edit to change back to a them that we know works?

p.p.s Thanx for your help

ah ok my bad... sorry I might be new to nuke but not to forums so no excuse there.

I'm about to have a second go at intalling a theme. As I mentioned this meant a full reinstall last time for me.

Supposing I upload a theme, I execute it, and then see nothing but code where my site should be, how can I fix that easily without a clean install?

I'm assuming there must be a very simple way

Ok first what vs of Nuke are you using?

Second what do you mean by "execute it"?

What errors are you actually getting?

Have you tried debugging?

Was your site fully functional before you tried to load the theme?

What theme is it? Is it the correct one for your vs of Nuke?
