Theme's go in your theme folder. If a theme is asking you to install something at the sites root, that simply means the base html folder of your website where folders such as blocks, db, images, includes, language, module, themes, and files such as admin.php, auth.php, header.php, footer.php, index.php, mainfile.php are all located.

Since you're still learning, I'll reiterate another important part from the readme. Test the theme by changing it in "Your Account", to make sure you uploaded it correctly, before making it the default in the admin area.

I am in the same boat as Flipsta, im a newb to the world of Nukemods, etc...but so far im definetly liking what I see.
I have the same problem trying to install themes, and figured it would be better to add to this thread instead of creating a new one for a similar problem.
My problem is this:
Im trying to install theme packs fiblack3D and Mediocre, ive extracted them both and have the html and resources folders on my desk top. The readme file states to upload the html file to the root nuke folder.
When I do this, the "html" folder places itself in my "blocks" folder and im not sure if it is supposed to do this. Ive also tried moving the individual files within the "html folder" (blocks and themes) and uploading them to the corresponding sections within my root folder and still have the same problem.
Problem is when I go to "your account" to verify if the theme install actually worked I do not see a listing for either fiblack3d or Mediocre, yet all the default themes are there. I checked in my control panel (File Manager) and I see the appropriate listing for both themes.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Themes go in your themes folder.
Quite often theme packs will be zipped in an html folder simply because it gives you a starting reference point when installing the theme plus its the best place to include modules, blocks, etc., that come with these themes.

Thats just it...
In my themes folder I see a folder that says fiblack3d and mediocre, but when I go to these themes on my site, only the default themes show.

Where are you modifying the theme preference, in the site preferences or in Your Account?

Your account
Ive tried using my regular admin account as well as a dummy account and the new themes are not located.
Also if it makes a difference I have PHP Nuke version 7.7

I don't think version should make any difference here, if your themes are actually unzipped and located in the themes folder then you should see them.
Just out of curiosity, when you check you site via ftp, are all your other themes visible in the themes folder?
