Are nukemod theme packs compatible with nuke platinum?
Installed latest version of nuke platinum on our server, downloaded and uploaded nukemod theme called smartDARK (which is awesome btw) but it gives me an error when trying to view my forums.

It says that I'm missing the glance_body.tpl file.

I read on other forums that this file ommission is because the nukemod themes are only compatible with nuke...NOT nuke platinum.

So I read all the info in the theme conversion folder of nuke platinum and it's 87 steps of very confusing php speak. The readme said to stop if you can't figure it out so here I am.

So, I take it from the readme that the themes are only compatible with nuke and not nuke platinum correct? To make them compatible means following 87 steps of pure chaos correct?

I guess I just need to go back to plain old nuke.....but how come nobody ever mentions this in the install readme's or anywhere else? Or did I miss reading it somewhere where it mentions this incompatibility?

TIA

All you have to do is upload the files contained in a folder called "themeconversion" which came with your Platinum download.

Thats enough to get the theme working. After that you can spend some time reading the file edits or search the net for ready made platinum version of your favourite theme.

Well, that's what I'm confused about because it says that you must edit in 87 places.

Now do I upload the files int he theme conversion folder to the theme and allow it to overwrite the existing files and then make the edits according to the destructions?

I mean, to me, that seems like a lot of work that might no teven pay off should one little character be off.....

Maybe I should ask....what am I getting out of platinum that regular nuke doesn't have?

TIA

Yes, it wont overwrite anything, only Files that you edit will be replaced.

As said above your theme will function, as soon as you upload the files in themeconversion folder, which will give you free time to make any file edits at a later stage.

Although there may very well be 87 edits, most you will find are very easy to do. The edits are layed out in sections, so if you start eg: Groups start it and finnish it, then move on to the next section when your ready.

Also as suggested above, if you search the net you will most likely find a ready made Platinum download of your theme.

thanks for the help and replies.

The theme is smartDARK which I downloaded form here but any of my search queries for it in platinum brings up nothing. I don't know why, but there seems to be a real shortage of nuke platinum themes (free).

Thanks again for the reply. Still don't see any modded themes for platinum using smartdark though...at least not for free lol.

It's working now using the themeconversion so I guess I can't complain although I don't know if I need to edit it further?
