phpnuke 6.8 with fisubsilversh admin (forum) does not work!! - 07-14-2003, 09:21 AM

Hi,

Maybe it is me, but I have problems with phpnuke 6.8 and the mentioned theme. The forum works, but the admin section has errors.

- some links do not work, forum index, forum preview,..
- there is no theme at all and no pictures.

I copied the forum stuff from a default theme from phpnuke into
this theme and then it works.

So must be this theme. But I do not know if it is me, because I never had phpnuke 6.5. I just started lst month with v 6.7 and now with 6.8

Anyone?

Bjorn

The forum's admin section relies on modules/Forums/templates/subSilver regardless of what theme you use.

Thanks, I know that. That is why I ask why it works perfectly with
the default themes from phpnuke and not with this one.

Can you help me a little further, please?

Ok I am not sure what you mean.
First. Did you upload the Theme pack Correctly? It's not rocket Science

fisubsilver folder goes into your themes folder. That is ALL you do. THen it is selectable in your account theme selection or the Nuke admin Preference area for the default theme.

Now, when you have this theme uploaded correctly, does the FORUM work?

AS for the Admin area of the Forum is it using subSilver still?

sorry for the questions.

OK. I looked again and in the admin page under configuration, I can only select the theme subsilver. In the html code I see this:

href="../templates/fisubsilversh/subSilver.css"

Well I there is no directory fisubsilversh in the templates...

Maybe you can help me now?

fisubsilversh should not be under Template,it's in your theme folder,so you can't choose it from admin.

bjorn2k

By chance, did you upload the fisubsilversh template part of the theme to the modules/Forums/templates?

Make sure you have a recent download of that theme. Go and re-download it now just in case.

Your Forum Admin template should ALWAYS be subSilver, it should never be changed. The regular part of the Forum will change with the theme selection if you are using matching themes like we have here.

well, very strange now. I downloaded the themepack again, and now the admin directory is missing...

So it does not work at all anymore

THERE IS NO ADMIN TEMPLATE for our Nuke6.5 THEME PACKS.

YOUR Admin Template SHOULD STAY subSilver ALWAYS. DO NOT try to change it and DO NOT upload ANY TEMPLATES to your templates folder.

STOP trying to change your FORUM TEMPLATE!

YOU Upload our theme to your themes FOLDER that is ALL! You do NOTHING in the FORUMS!
You do that wrong, you mess things up
