PROBLEM / subSysems - Opera and Netscape 4.7 - 03-05-2003, 05:21 PM

Hi!

I absolutely like the "subSystems" theme pack. I want it to be the main them of my web site but there seems to be some problems.

I have had a visitor who was using Opera tell me it crashed his Opera browser and I cannot get it to display in Netscape 4.7.

Has anyone else either heard of or experienced these problems? If so, what did you do to correct them?

Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

I can't find your subsystem page to check it out. I have Opera, Mozilla, Phoenix, and IE.

I know what you mean Mikem, I would check on it if I had a link, to see if it is a browser thing or a system thing or a theme thing.

I found his nukesite but he doesn't have the subsystem theme as default and I don't have the intention to register at every site to fix problems.
It's located as usual in the html folder.

Bye,

Hello!,

Thank you Martin and Mighty_Y for responding to my call for help,

You can see what I am talking about
HERE

I do not have "subSystem" installed at the other site.

Thanks again for your help.

I had no problems with any of the 4 browsers listed above. I do not use Netscape, but Mozilla is pretty much the same. I run WindowsXP Pro SP1, with a P4 2.4 GHz, 512MB DDR SDRAM, nVidia GeFofce4 64MB DDR RAM. I clicked everything on the site and it worked perfectly. It is possable that some systems may not have up-to-date SunJava for their non Micro$oft browsers, and if so they will have the same problems they claim to have with your site with more and more sites until they upgrade. Netscape is now up to version 7.x
as is Opera (7.2).

ewww chronicles...i think its a close tie

i can see your nuke site fine with both opera and mozilla. and as martin said, mozilla is based of off netscape, actually running more the half of the code. it must be your friends computer, or his version of opera.
