small subBlack problem - 12-16-2005, 11:27 AM

Just installed subBlack theme to fix some forum problems with a previous version of subBlack.
With the subBlack theme I downloaded from this site, there is now a t> by the date, which seems to be my only issue with the upgrade.

see http://www.sgcommand.com

Any ideas why that is there or how to remove it ?

Thanks

ML

It's because you have part of a [tag] left over just beneath the java date code. You'll notice that your date isn't sitting on the Navigation Bar properly because of this.

I'm guessing the issue is in your theme.php file. Open it word, notepad, dreamweaver, etc., find the following code below the java date info.:

[/font][/div>[/td]

Just below this code you will notice another line of code as follows:

t][/div][/td]

Remove the t], re-save the file and re-upload it to your webserver. Everything should be fine now.

Please be sure to back up any files in a seperate location prior to editing.

Thanks for the reply. I have looked for this code in the php theme and tables files and the header file as well. Nothing that you have in your reply is in those files.

Any other ideas ?

Has it been like this from the very beginning after install or did you notice it after altering files?

What files are in your themes/subblack main directory? I'm sure it won't be a .tpl file, it loox to be in one of your .php files.

Looks like you have a broken tag in the header.html most likely happened when you modified it for your logo.

Your issue is in this piece of code (line 33 in the unmodified version):
Code:
<div align="center"><font class="content">
$datetime
</font></div></td

The more we learn... the more we realize how little we actually know.

Interesting find, I replaced the header.html file with the older version I had and it fixed the problem even though I saw no error in the newer version. Funny because I never modified either one for anything and they both looked identical in the editors.

Anyways, thanks to both of you for the replys as the problem is solved even though I cant explain how....LOL
