Some baisic help with installing a theme (Helius) - 05-05-2003, 07:16 AM

Firstly what a great site, what a great set of themes :-)

Secondly if there was more n00b than n00b in this department then I am there.

Right, having got that out of the way, can someone please help me by explaining in very basic terms, where all the files go from the helius dload.

I have checked the already installed themes on phpnuke6.5 but there are fourms directories and other stuff, I'm not at all sure where to put them all.

Thanks very much.

Sara

unzip the file and upload the themes folder to php-nuke's root folder.

so folder Helius sits in forum/ and not forum/themes/ ???

Why does it not go in the themes section. Sorry for the dim questions, but I'm trying to understand what I'm doing rather than just doing it!

Cheers

The Helius theme goes into Nuke's themes folder, the zip comes already sorted with Nuke's structure so the themes folder goes into Nuke's themes folder and the blocks folder to Nuke's blocks folder.

In your direcory structure for your Nuke site. You have a themes. folder.
In there are all your themes.
You simply upload the folder that is in the pack called Helius to your themes folder on your FTP. Leave all the folders within the Helius folder intact. If you use a program like CuteFTP or WS FTPPro, then you simply drag the Helius folder into your themes folder. Wait for the upload the complete and then go change your theme :-)
