Where is the storycontent class? - 04-18-2006, 02:32 AM

I'm asking about fisubice in particular, but it seems prevelant throughout all the standard nuke themes.

In story_home.html is this line of code
Code:
<td>[img]$tipath$topicimage[/img]<font class="storycontent">$content</font></td>

Yet, I can't find where class storycontent is defined. What's the solution?

Thanks!

do you know HTML? classes are USUALLY stored in a style sheet, like style.css OR some people put their style classes within the head tags of thier html document (not efficient tho)

Look in the style.css file

Of course I know HTML. And CSS, JavaScript, XML, COBOL, SAS, Assembler, and several other languages. That's not the issue. The issue is that the theme pack is calling a class that does not exist anywhere. I've been programming for 36 years and am very involved in web services http://ravenphpscripts.com . I wouldn't have asked the question if there was an obvious answer

well then... :P

if the class does not exist, create it yourself. Sounds like the theme creator simply missed that tag...no biggie.
If there is a content class, copy that one and change the name to storycontent. Problem solved and you can adjust the font style for your News text accordingly(but you already know that  ).

by the way, I wasn't asking you if you knew html as if you were ignorant, I was asking in order to prepare myself on whether I have to EXPLAIN IN MORE DETAIL to you or not...thanks for being so knowledgeable, makes my free time/support I give less time spent explaining information one already knows.

By the way..I was definately NOT going to assume you were the Raven from revenscripts, even tho you have your site listed in your sig..I assume nothing  Stuck my foot in my mouth one too many times in the past I guess

I gathered you knew what you were talking about and yes I can't find this class anywhere within the theme :?

Got me stumped.

right but as HE said, he knows html etc, but still could not find where the class was defined. I'm sure he did a 'find' in all theme files since he's sounds like he knows what he is doing...
The PROGRAMMING solution would be to create the missing class yourself and then notify the Authors that in most of their themes, a certain class or classes are not being defined in the style sheet.

I contacted Duke before I even posted this and he suggested I just post it. Rather than add another class, I just changed the call in story_home to .content. Case closed

Ya, I guess I should have posted in this topic sooner, sorry, been extremely busy as of late with a new webhost.

I looked in my style.css and couldn't find the class either so it's an obvious miss on the writers/designers part.

Very cool that you noticed it though, great work!
