Come take a peek - 11-15-2004, 09:45 AM

If you're interested in computer hardware or perhaps thinking of upgrading your system in the near future perhaps my site can be of help. It's not a new site but it is finally the way I want it and I feel good enough about it that I can show it off.

Come take a look - register for our forums and stay a while we have some great contests coming up with some great gear to give away.

Looks great, I only found a few small problems one that really sticks out is this page.

http://hi-techreviews.com/modules.ph...=Reviews&rop=C you will notice that it is hard to read the info in the box, small change of the theme should fix that. also it seams that some of the reviews are hosted on a second install or something?

Site A:
http://www.hi-techreviews.com/module...article&sid=64

Site B:
http://hi-techreviews.com/nuke/xpider2/xpider_1.htm

Both great reviews...

Anyway that you can hook me up with the info from your sponsor page? My Sponsor's have been riding my but about getting something like that done but got confused and Quit. Just the code that you used to create this page is all I need, I can make the correct changes once I have something to go off of. It would be for http://www.teamchenbro.com (wonder why I used all Chenbro case's for examples?) LOL

By the way I think the reason that there were only rails for 3 out of 4 drives is the fact that they added (since the Gaming Bomb) one ext 3.25 bay and put the rails for the floppy drive were the CD-ROM rails were. You are the only person that has ever said anything about it as far as I know...Hell I didn't even know about it tell now..LOL

Thanks for finding the 3 broken links and I have gotten those fixed.

As for the part being hard to read, I agree but I'm not really sure what portion of the theme I need to adjust to get the color to a more acceptable shade for it to be read. Any ideas?

What I did for the sponsor pages was really simple. I just downloaded a copy of my sites front page using MS Frontpage. Then I wiped the center block are completely out as well as most of the info on the left and right blocks. Then for the first sponsor page it was just matter of dropping in the banners one by one.

The second page was about the same way except I added a 3 x 10 table and then just inserted the logos into each cell of the table. I didn't like the appearance of with the borders showing so I ticked them off and thats what I ended up.

You're right about some of the pages being served differently. If the review is extremely long and will not fit into a very long single page I just use the same copy of the site front page and use it for a template and put the review in there. That way I can have as many pages as I want and also I don't have to worry about a hacker trashing the database with all the reviews in it. If he wipes it now he just basically gets the announcement for the review.

I hope that makes sense.

Kevin
