I am trying to figure out why I can't get an email generated for when a user gets a new PM. I have edited the correct 2 files, I have verified that email is working via the site.

1. I tried using the mass email feature, just created a group with only me...sent a test email, worked perfect.
2. if you select to be notified when a post is replied to the email feature works fine for that as well.
3. email will NOT be sent for new PM's. I have edited the index.php and the private message file and verified that it was checked in profile.

as far as file structure..would this affect this at all?? I just realized that whoever installed php this time around did not put it in the root of the domain..instead its in another directory by itself. would that make a difference??

I'm going nuts trying to figure this out.....
