adding links to blocks errors them out bad! - 04-25-2003, 07:27 AM

Every time I edit the information block in 6.5, It takes me back to the index page and the changes NEVER take affect. I was trying to add links to everyones nuke-help and nuke-mod sites like this:

[img]images/forum_images_banner_88x31.gif[/img]

[img]images/phpbb2-users-button.gif[/img]

[img]images/testmaty.gif[/img]

[img]images/pixdesign_banner.gif[/img]

[img]images/nukecopslink.gif[/img]

[img]images/nukemodbox.png[/img]

[img]images/portedmods_logo.gif[/img]

</p>
sorta like what you have here at nukemods.com, but every time I load it it defaults back to the index page. Now I can add text all day and it keeps. Just not links. I also tried making my own block with the sample_block....same thing...anything with a link of any kind kills it...any ideas?

It is discused already somewhere else, it is something about the mainfile and chatserv made a fix for it too, I'll edit my post when I find it again.
PS Try using the code tag for the coding you post here

Edit: This was posted by chatserv over at nukescripts.net:
Quote:
chatserv writes: "In response to this article by Bob Marion i have proposed the use of this modified mainfile.php, what i need at the moment are people willing to test it and give feedback on it to see if it needs further modifications or if it will do as it is, please post any feedback or comments you might have. Make sure you save a copy of your current mainfile.php and backup your database tables before using this one."
And this should solve it

What do ya mean by code tag? Did I miss something? Anyway that was the fix. Works like a charm now. Don't Know what was wrong but that fixed it. Thanks for the help and if I can do anything for you...ask away.

I meant with the code tag that you have to use the code bbcode when you post php or html code and then your html code looks like this

I added [code ] and [/code ] (without the spaces) around your code
