I usually hack away at it until i figure it out but.....

I downloaded Site Visitors w/avatar for php nuke 6.5,configured the language file and uploaded all files to where instructed. I don't see a module to activate, but in "who's online" there is a "Site Visitors" in the custom drop down. I tried numerous times to select it but still won't work. Changes back to Who's online. What am i missing?

Go to Nuke Admin/Blocks.
Down below where you MAKE a new block. Type the name you want the block to have, then select Site Visitor from the Drop down list.
Then save changes.
You can't simply edit an exisiting block and change the blcok file it uses. You have to create a new block.
