Can't change user-status in phpBB

Ok.. I'm stuck

I go to Forums Administration.. and than under Users tab I click on User permissions..so I type my nick and click on Find User.. and I change my User Rank to Administrator and click on Submit.. I go to Forums and it still shows me as a Moderator.. i go repead the whole process again and it just doesn't work.. doesn anybody know how to fix this?

btw I tried to change my forum permissions I get this error:

The first problem.
Make sure you are not still a member of the Moderators group. Then bring up your name again in the Forum Admin adn make sure ALSO that at the bottom you do not have the Special Rank of Moderator. Change your Special Rank to Admin.

Second problem I believe has been fixed in the new 2.0.5 ported forums and 2.0.6 upgrade at http://www.nukecops.com
To work around the issue, remove yourself from the group your are in FIRST, then update your Forum premissions, then add yourself back to the group you were in.

Yeah I added myself to admin.. it works..

Second problem though.. I did update the forums to .0.6 and now that you said update I did try to do it again it said your forums version is .0.6 so it works fine.. but I'm still getting the same error :-/
