version in the downloads section, i don't need and if i don't write any version, it still be there in bold, and it's not good looking

and description in web links, i don't need this too

As for the D/L and Weblinks modules, you will have to edit those module's index.php files in order to accomplish what you want.
I haven't looked at them to figure it out, but with some minor PHP-Nuke knowledge, you should be able to figure it out.
