NSN Groups, News?
Will NSN Groups News 600 work with phpnuke 6.5 and NSN Groups 650? Also, does NSN Groups 650 only support controlling blocks by group and not modules or anything else?

nothing
nothing is wrong with groups 6.5, I am using it. I want to know if NSN groups for news addon 600 works with NSN groups 650, and also if NSN groups 650 can control access to anything other than blocks, such as modules.

Have you tried NSN forums? You could probably submit your question there and get more info than you could here, maybe quicker too. Not everyone uses the NSN modules.

I would try their forums but they closed them down
I would try their forums but they closed them down due to all the security issues in the community lately.

I just want a simple way of handling permissions with php-nuke, NSN groups seems to be the only option.

I'm not sure if i understand what you mean by this, NSN Groups 600 is meant to be used on PHP-Nuke 6.0 and the newly released NSN Groups 650 is for PHP-Nuke 6.5, the only addons i have seen for NSN Groups are NSN Archives and a block, NSN Archives is available for NSN Groups 650.

I see, ok, i seriously doubt it will work on 6.5 mainly because this addon alters many of Nuke's core files and most of them have changed a lot since 6.0, worst yet, the author doesn't even seem to have a nuke site, at least not the one offered in the file's description, guess you would have to wait til it gets ported which could happen as soon as 6.5 goes public, if it doesn't i could have a look at it.

sounds good
sounds good , I'm using php-nuke for an intranet site and I would like to have permissions on as much as possible. NSN Groups works fine so far, but it only seems to control blocks. Maybe someone will update it, time will tell

I'll weigh in on this one

No, NSN Groups News will not work with PHP-Nuke 6.5 . The php self system is different as well as the sql layering is different. It will sooner or later be migrated over but I have several projects ahead of it

We reopened our forums shortly after the "Security Breach" issue.
