How do i let users select themes and from where?
What is the correct place to let users select there theme from. the "your account/themes" one or the "profile" from the forums.
It seems like some work from each and some dont. fiblue3d for example works from the your acount option but you cant even see it as an option through the profile area. On the other hand sometimes i will secect a theme but the forums will stay the same even though i have "overide user style"- set to no.
So what is the correct way to let my users select there own theme, and is it possable to turn off the other option ?

The style seleciton in the Forum Edit profile screen should actually have been removed altogether in Nuke6.5
All theme selection in Nuke6.5 should be done through the Your Account Theme Selection.
You might see some adverse affects if you start trying to change themes from the Forum Profile. We removed the script from ours that saves that info to the database. The selection is still there on this site, but it doesn't write the value to the database which is what you want.

If a theme is made properly for Nuke6.5 then changing themes though Your Account should work perfectly.

Easy there.
No you don't want to go deleting a bunch of stuff.
There is no forums/themes.
In Nuke6.5
it is
themes/YourTheme/forums <-where the forum template files are stored

In the old Nuke6.0 the template files were stored here
modules/Forums/templates

If you ONLY want your users to use ONE theme then all you do is set your Default theme first in Nuke Admin -Preferences then delete all the "other" themes from your themes folder. Once you only hav eONE theme in your themes folder, then the Theme Seleciton wil "magically" disappear from the Your Account page.

So do you mean it should not be there or that the release of 6.5 should have been different?

Well i definitly have some files in modules/Forums/themes, maybe they are left over from 6.0?

How can i remove the ability for people to change themes via the forum profile? Also i dont want to remove all my themes, i want to switch them once in a while for a change of pace, thats why i think a random theme script would be cool.

Nuke 6.5 should have the Style selection removed from the Forum's Edit Profile screen. It messes things up. We have posted a way to disable this in your site.
http://www.nukemods.com/modules.php?...ewtopic&t=1564

Also,
You may have some templates left in your modules/Forums/templates folder...that is fine.
If you're worried about it, here's what I recommend.
Make sure your default STYLE is set to subSilver in your Forum/Admin/Configuration.
Make sure you have the subSilver template from the Nuke6.5 package uploaded to your modules/Forums/templates folder FIRST.
Then go to your Forums/Admin/Stule/Management and you can Delete all the rest of the templates except subSilver from there. Then you can remove them from your modules/Forums/templates folder.
The only thing subSilver is for is for your Forum Admin area to be displayed.
No need for any other templates since the theme/templates are together in Nuke6.5.
So when you get a Theme pack from this site for Nuke6.5, you simply upload the theme to your themes folder. Then you go to your Account page and select that theme from the theme selection. Teh forum tempalte will automatically change because it uses the template that matches the theme which is now in the themes/Themename/forums folder.
Each theme will have a theme/Themename/forums folder where it's matching template is stored.

whew.
