skyLineBlue Problems - 08-06-2003, 10:01 PM

Very odd problems.

News: I just installed a brand new install of php nuke and added this theme. On my News section in the homepage when I click "read more" points to a html page that doesn't exsist instead of the extended text that was put in when I posted the news, but in AvantGo you can see it all.

Forums: Can't use them. The index comes up fine, but when I click on the individual forums, same problem as above, tries to goto a html file instead of a phpredirect.

Downloads: Same problem really, tries to goto downloads.html in the root, instead of the module redirect, renaming the folder corrected this.

Web Links: Same as downloads. looked for links.html.

I replaced Downloads and Web Links with modified modules and they work fine with renamed directories, but modified or not the original modula name will not work.

I did some search on NukeCops.com and found that the News "Read more.." might be a theme bug, so that led me here, wher eI downloaded it from. I reinstalled it just now, to make sure no updates were made since I last downloaded it, and still no go.

Thanks for all your help, nice looking theme. Thinking about a green one?

Do the problems persist with ANY theme?
If this was a prevolent problem exclusive to the skylineblue theme, then I am sure there would be MANY others posting about it.

Mizzat

I thought I would let you know, that I use the theme without any problems. I dont think that this is related directly to the theme.
You ssid it wan a fresh install?
What directory did you install php into?
Are you redirecting a second URL to it?

Thanks for the offers of help. I don't think it could be a php problem because the links work for everything else. I installed php via the yast2 probram in SuSE, so it should be fine. I have no idea what would cause this. These are the ONLY problems I am having with nuke as of now, and I currently have no other themes installed.

You know what? I am pretty sure it is a NukeCops Enhanced Bundle error now, they didn't set up the install right to work out of the box. I am terribly sorry for trying to blame your theme. I know how frustrating it can be when you offer so much support and it is the users problem and not the support sites product, as I help with support on some sites as well, not php related, obviously. Thanks again for your offer.

again..Thinking about making a green one?

yea, a green SkyLine theme, a nice green tone, following the tone you have with the blue, I'd download it in a heart beat, there are so few good green themes out there.

Just replacing the blue with green, basicly.
