adding a flash intro to a php-nuke installation? - 07-05-2007, 05:16 AM

I recently made a flash intro for my site then I realized that I have no clue how i would make it come up instead of nuke. If I rename the index.php file it will mess up the site. How can I do this? I have nuke v7.9 and my website is Headshot! An America's Army Anti-Cheat Community thanks in advance for your help.

First of all your flash movie has to have actionscript embeded in it which will ether auto take them to a site after the intro ( I can tell u how thats done ) or having btn there which will take the to your site... upload your .swf and your .html for your flash in any placeof your site and have your url redirecting there..... you can redirect your site from yourdomain.com/cpanel if thats what you using.....

Let me know if u needmore help greets Breez

ah nevermind... i guess .html files take senority over .php files when it comes to index files. i just made a index.html with my flash intro and then had it link to the index.php file for the phpnuke installation.

Having any kind of splash page taking precedence over your sites content rich pages will hurt you in the SERPS (Search Engine Results Pages). You're much better off to embed flash into your existing header or even better, stay away from flash because it cannot be indexed or crawled by bots.
