admin set up error - 07-25-2007, 09:24 AM

hi first time on here. I have manually installed phpnuke 7.8 on a new host. I have used the excact same set up on 2 other hosts all went smoothly. I know that register_globals is disabled. when I try to set up superuser (admin) iget this error at top of page.

Notice: Undefined variable: aid in /home/fhlinux166/c/cool-fm.net/user/htdocs/admin.php on line 16

when I type in details the page just refreshes.
I have checked the database and my details are in the table nuke_authors. I also tried to set up a normal user and the email was sent to me to say I was accepted.
Obviously I cannot use the site without admin facilities.

can someone please help or point me in the right direction

I'm sorry, I'd love to help but I've never experienced this issue before with phpnuke (or any CMS for that matter). I notice you also posted this at karakas-online and still got no response so I'm guessing it's not a usual problem, of course this is just a guess.

Just out of morbid curiosity, what is the exact directory you're trying to install phpnuke under?

Also, have you approached your webhost with this question?
