Cannot add new user to usergroup in main admin panel.
Now I have a new problem I have created a usergroup and now I want to add users to it. I go to the admin control panel , click on usergroups and there is a summary of my new group togerther with an option to add a new group and then a points system setting. Nowhere can I add new users to the group.....Any ideas? I tried the forum admin panel and the phpnuke admin panel, nowhere to be found. I am using 7.5 with avocado theme.

you can only add users to usergroups on http://www.yoursite.com/modules.php?...s&file=groupcp and then again only when you are group moderator or forums admin

roger, I got that, but there is no adding users in the main admin panel of phpnuke or is htere?. Only the points system. Also, when settings group permissions, they are not saved in the DB but instead I have to manually set them in my DB.

No, there is no actual "usergroups" in PHP-Nuke. The user Groups in your Admin panel are based on the points System. There are addons/modules/hacks that you can download that will give you usergroups in PHP-Nuke and enable you to only let those groups have certain access to cretain areas.

OK thanx, i've been using the phpbb2 admin panel to add user permissions, but it doesnt seem to save it in the database so I have to manually update it in there.

Wow, mikem, you did my theme, the avocado theme, just wanted to let you know, it is absolutely wonderful and is exactly what I was looking for in terms of design and colors. I am busy setting up a smalll clan site for Americas Army and your theme was just the perfect match. Well done.

On another note, I have added a gallery module and also a block that randomly displays a different picture from the gallery. I have done this by placing a php script in the galleries folder with the pics and placed a link to the php file in the block, now it randomly displays a different picture. Great. Problem is, how can I ad a link only to that picture and I also want the block to display the filename and description of that file. I know my approach with the php link wont work, but I cannot find a decent random picture block that does all that. Any suggestions or do I have to try and make it myself?

Try and see if you see it with this link. Just edit in yoursite or //localhost if you offline.
Also, where did you make usergroups and what are you using?

That is a problem with your theme

open your
themes/Yourtheme/forums/groupcp_info_body.tpl
and
themes/Yourtheme/forums/groupcp_user_body.tpl

find ALL instances of
Code:
method="get"
replace with
Code:
method="post"
Check your jumpbox.tpl file too :wink:

To add members you don't even need to be in the forum's admin section: in any normal forum page click on usergroups, you will see all available groups depending on your access level, if you have admin access you will be able to add/remove/approve users from this page.

usually at the top with all other forum options next to the forum logo
