situation and actions taken:
  • site name: www.foamingmouth.com
    phpNuke 7.3
    added Protector (updated header.php accordingly) and Customize Menu v2.1 (Sommaire Paramétrable)
    banned one IP
    Scoured this and several other sites looking for answers.

Problem:
no matter what name is used, I get the above mentioned error:

Error: Nickname already taken.

I hope this is enough info.

sorry... got cranky... i'm reinstalling phpNuke.. I was hoping someone had some ideas for things for me to check...
