Forum "View Topics" images do not show - 07-16-2006, 06:59 AM

Hello everyone,

Here is my forum. http://soldierette.com/portal/module...iewtopic&t=125 I just integrated my old standalone forums with a new phpnuke and cannot figure out why my images don't show up when viewing a topic. I've even copied the images over to where the "right-click -> properties" is looking for them... all with the same results. I've got the folders chmoded at 755 and the files at 644 and nothing. Well actually, when looking choosing the properties for the images, I get strange code like this:

Code:
vti_encoding:SR|utf8-nl
vti_timelastmodified:TR|19 Jul 2005 22:08:03 -0000
vti_extenderversion:SR|5.0.2.2623
vti_backlinkinfo:VX|
vti_cacheddtm:TX|19 Jul 2005 22:08:03 -0000
vti_filesize:IR|979
vti_lastwidth:IX|59
vti_lastheight:IX|18
See for yourself here. http://soldierette.com/portal/module...on_profile.gif

Any ideas?

Thanks for any help!

I don't see that code when I pick an image placeholder when visiting your forums, I see image location properties such as:

http://soldierette.com/portal/module...glish/post.gif

I know it's a stupid question, but are you completely sure that you have your images in this folder?

Can these images get corrupted? I just uploaded this image http://soldierette.com/portal/module...sh/red_dot.gif and it shows up fine. And for the 4th time, I re-uploaded this http://soldierette.com/portal/module...on_profile.gif and I get the following:

Code:
vti_encoding:SR|utf8-nl
vti_timelastmodified:TR|19 Jul 2005 22:08:03 -0000
vti_extenderversion:SR|5.0.2.2623
vti_backlinkinfo:VX|
vti_cacheddtm:TX|19 Jul 2005 22:08:03 -0000
vti_filesize:IR|979
vti_lastwidth:IX|59
vti_lastheight:IX|18
I'm sure that the images are located in the proper directory.

I use WS_FTP Pro and if you don't drag and drop images from server folders directly to folders withing WS_FTP Pro, then all images become corrupted.

You may just want to upload an image that you know works and overwrite one of the existing images.

Okay so I took the reply.gif from this board and uploaded it over mine in that same directory. It works, so that tells me that the images that I have are probably corrupt. Wow. I've been copying them over and over and they were the actual problem. Damn.

Now lemme go and find the original ones for the board.

Thanks Duke. That worked.

Now I know how it got that way. The .zip file on phpbb for the images is corrupt. I had to use the .tar file.
