Forums Group Mod/Admin - 11-23-2006, 07:47 PM

How did you guys get the forums to display NM Moderators and NM Staff groups on the forums main? I have an admin group set via the Forums controll panel, but the group name doesn't show up, whereas single user moderators do.

Just wondering....

You obviously need to assign the group as moderators in the groups permission section in forum admin panel.

That's already established. If it weren't, then I wouldn't have any working moderators. Probabbly something to do with my crappy initial set-up...

How do you come to that conclusion?? individual moderators are completely seperate to group members and their permissions are set in 2 seperate places.

Yup. When you go into the Group Permissions, you can set a group as a moderator, whilest setting an individual as a moderator you would go through the User Permissions.

Well, it probabbly has partly to do with me starting with 6.5, upgrading to 7.0, then to 7.3 then to 7.5 and finally to 7.7 with all the patches...

The whole file structure has gone through a ton of changes... lol.

//--EDIT---------
I had a file in my Forums directory called FixGroups. I just ran it again, and everything is working. Thanks anyways!
