Good Combination? - 09-05-2006, 06:57 PM

Package: PHP-Nuke 7.9
NukePatched: 3.2 - 7.9
Security: Latest Nuke Sentinel
BBToNuke: 2.0.21

Should I be safe then?

I think you shouldn't go any higher than 7.6 personally.

Well, what's the issue with 7.9 I would need to know about? I do like the TinyMC Editor or whatever it is called.

The issue with anything 7.7 onwards is that to use the tiny_mce editor most of nukes security checking was stripped out.

Have fun if you chose to use anything above 7.6

You'll also notice a lot of phpnuke support sites don't even offer support or help for versions above 7.6 for the very reason that dar mentioned.

Will this prevent hackers from hacking the index.php as well? and what not?

I don't think anything is completely un-hackable but this is the best, stable, secure and most reliable version of phpnuke to date IMHO.
