Mail being returned by server
Hi,

A large bulk of our new user confirmation/activation e-mails are being returned by the server from free accounts such as yahoo, Msn, Hotamil and AOL .

Any idea what is happening here ?

Regards

Check with your WebHost. They may be blocking those types of email accounts for some reason (smap, viruses, etc.). It is not a PHP-Nuke problem per-say.

Yeah,

Thanx, I figured it was probably some kind of spam filtering. On a test of my own for a free account it was sending the e-mail to a bulk folder.
Other free accounts offer advanced filtering which might probably reject the e-mail entirely, which is my guess on the matter.

But I thought I would check in case there was perhaps a known problem.

Thanx again

Make sure you have reverse DNS set up on your server alot of mail hosts reject it if you don't.
