News not showing
Alright. I think I royally goofed here. I uploaded the events calaender 2.13 and installed it. The file had an aut install for it and it installed a admin.php and a mainfile.php. Now I can't view my news or add news. Nothing shows in teh center except blocks. Any help would be apprecaited.

uhhh...did you use those files?
That is probaby your admin problem then.
I never use included files (header.php, admin.php or mainfile.php) with modules. I edit them manually. The calendar addon SHOULD have directions for editing those files yourself. The ones included may or may not be the from the same version of PHP-Nuke you are running...

one reason I did not help you on your first post is because of the word "Help" in your topic title.

Read the forum posting rules for more information.

Help is a generalized word and makes it harder on other users if they are searching these forums for the same sort of problem as you.

Sorry for using the word help, I read those rules a long time ago and didn't recall that. I did make sure that I used descriptve words in teh subject though.

Anyways, Yes I used those files, I know my bad, and stupid me forgot to ack up teh originals. I fixxed the first problem by placing original copies of admin.php and mainfile.php from the phpnuke7.4 zip file. That fixxed teh news problem I was having and created teh problem with not being able to add new admins. Any help would be appreciated.

Another quick question, I have looked, but can't seem to find, what would the php file that controls the topic images be called? I want to change teh formate from gif to jpg. I've looked in all the topic related php files, also in the news related php
files. Any ideas?

For the admin problem:
Check your _authors table in your MySQL database againsta fresh _authors table.
Make sure you have no additional fields etc that should not be there.
You can use phpmyadmin to do this

Well, I'm not sure exactly what you mean, although I figured out how to simply add an admin in phpMyAdmin. So even if I never find out why I have a work around that suits me fine.

Any Idea on the other question I had?
