problem with sql server please try later etc etc
Hi all, help needed please on what i need to do to get my site back, i now get problem with sql database error screen and cannot access any of the site except for ftp and cpanel,

i did not setup the site and cannot get any help from the person who did due you other work commitments, he has all the host details as we pay him for the hosting,

how can i check if it is the host down or a problem with my sql database as the screen says????????

if it is the database is there a test or diagnostics i can run to report back where the exact error is?????????????

i ran a full home backup but did not do anything and it is still the same screen.

Ok well its just the first config.php (under public) that seems to be your problem, the reason your getting that message is because that file cant comunicate with your database, i would say (iam never 100%) your database is ok its just that file needs looking over. Anyway hope you get it :wink:

hi again, ok run back up nuke db,

one thing i noticed in mysql is that the nuke db is called nuke1 and in the config.php the prefix etc is called nuke without the 1 on the end, is this correct or could it be the missing 1 on the end??????????????

how can i check if the config.php is correct ?????????????????

thanks in advance

You cant damage anything so dont worry, just dont delete anything lol

$dbhost = "localhost";
$dbuname = " your username ";
$dbpass = " whatever";
$dbname = "if its nuke1 so be it "; ///notting will working if you have nuke entered & that message wont go away
$prefix = "nuke"; /// usually nuke
$user_prefix = "nuke"; ///usually nuke
