Registration E-Mails - 05-26-2006, 12:33 AM

I am using PhpNuke 7.8 Installed with Fantastico. I have a problem though, whenevery someone makes a new account, it says "An E-mail has been sent blah blah." But they say it never gets sent. I have tried it myself and it doesnt send. When I try to make another account, it says that E-Mail is already used, and when I go into adminstration it shows nothing. Whats going on?

Check with your webhost and see if they allow sending mail with mail() using PHP...

Does your webhost even allow for e-mail on your account?

I also had a similar problem but it turned out I was on an e-mail server that was continually crapping out. It may be as simple as restarting your webmail through your webhosts control panel to clear up the bottlekneck.

I saw a mod for this a while back but have no idea where :? Essentially, it bypasses the registration e-mail being sent and immediately logs in the newly registered members.

You may want to snoop around bbtonukemods.com and see if they have anything.

Why not just do this?
http://www.nukemods.com/modules.php?...ewtopic&t=3543

It adds the activation link that users need from the email to the last page of the registration after they click Finish. Kind of handy,

tanx alot myt.. everything worked fine.. except the link they give for the activation doesn't work good

Code:
afgana.freehostia.com/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=activate&username=chachacha&check_num=f25936d06d7b96b755b5bb15142ba574
when you click on the link it goes to the main page of my hosting site.. so it doesn't really activate the account..

hmm..that is wierd. The link looks good.

As soon as I get a chance, I'll look at the code to check. Maybe something has changed in newer version of Nuke. What version you have?
