Code Amber alert ticker block

Hello,

I inserted the code from: http://codeamber.org/get_ticker.cgi

created the block and pasted it in notepad. FTP over to my remote side.
Activated the block and it just showed the code and not the ticker.

Does anyone know what I did wrong?

You should be able to just create a new block in your blocks admin and paste the code directly to it.

Thank you for that information.

I copy and pasted the html ticker over in the create new block. Then pressed create block and it still just showed the lines copy and pasted.

Ny sincere apology and I think you kindly for such patience.
