I am trying to create (or maybe I should say trying to get) a block that would display the newest release on my site on the front page. What I am looking for is that it would have headings on the top and content in the middle along with a picture and on the bottom of the block it would have time, date, posted by and the link to forum where I would have posted the article or something. I have seen it on this site too on main page. If someone could guide me to the right direction I would really appriciate it. I am sorry for being ignorant I am new to PHP Nuke and trying learn it.
So you mean the forumpost on the main page?? Glad you like it, I created it :P
You can find it on http://www.portedmods.com and it is called Forumnews Advance
Mighty_Y thanks for replying. I am looking for something that if I post anything on the main it should show up as a block I described above not just related to forum.
Let me try it and see if thats the one. I hope its not like Latest Forum posts.
Well I used it and it says to make changes to the theme.php file which I did but nothing happens.
I don't know if you got me right or not. What I am trying to do is that if I go to Admin section of my site and create a center block lets say I have a new song and wants to put a link on the front page along with the image so I would create a center block and put every thing in that block. That block when apears on front page it should have the headings in bold and font size should be large and on the bottom part of the block it should have time and date and posted by.
ForumNews Advanced requires more than just editing a theme.php file.
Are you sure you got the right mod?
I'm sure the Forum Advanced news is what you want. Are you wanting your News on the front page like ours and to link to the Article in your forums? That's what your first post says. If so, then Forum Advanced News is what you want.
