TO many to name... but i did try one, called NUcalendar. im the type of guy who will try anything twice (could have been a bad file), so if you got suggestions ill try em out. Basically it boils down to this. I run a paintball site, and i want to put 'events' in. so if you have suggestions on alternatives LMK.

Lessee...

The calendar (events calendar) from holbrook has been discontinued because of security issues

TotalCalendar is really meant to be a groupware scheduler. It seems to me to take too much maintenance and returns too little benefit, especially since it's not free ($15.00). It *really* doesn't stand out above any other calendar, feature-wise

NuCalendar...this is good. Recurring events, nice blocks, nice module, easy administration, user submissions. The only reason I don't use this calendar is because it has no support for multi-day events (eg - vacation week)

Contending with NuCalendar is KalenderMX (demo here It's in German, though). It is what I'm using now. Comparable (almost identical, in fact) to both holbrook's 'event calendar' and Nucalendar (I *think* it's a fork of event calendar). The 2 main differences between this and NuCalendar is that KalenderMX does not yet have support for recurring events (NuCalendar does) but it handles multi-day events *superbly* (NuCalendar does *not*).

Now, if only I could get a merge of features between NuCalendar and KalenderMX, I would be a *seriously* happy person.

Just to add more to doc's reply.

I use nuCalendar on a beta test site of mine and I love it.

Per doc's remarks, I shall be installing the KalenderMX and testing it's features as well.

thanks doc.

I downloaded and atempted to install the NuCalender Mod and I am stuck. I get "access denied" when I click on the button in admin. I followed the install except I didn;t understand one line
"Use the file nucalendar.sql, located in the sql directory, to create the
initial tables. Change the name of the tables to match your $user_prefix."

I get the first part but what does it mean when it syas change the name...

I am using nuke 7.5

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
