phpBB Upgrading Pains
Greetings,

Currently I am at version 2.0.17 of phpbb. It came with PHP-Nuke 7.9. It tells me I need to upgrade. So I have started my research on doing this.

I have read the following: http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article.php?article_id=271

The information contained there was very helpful. The section about If you have no MODs installed, is what I followed.

I followed every detail of that part. When doing the final step which says to run Run /install/update_to_latest.php trough your browser, all I keep getting is it tells me to read the Install.HTML before attempting to update.

So a little help would be greatly appreciated.

I also read at different places, that since I am using PHP-Nuke I need to run BBTONuke. I have that downloaded. I downloaded BBTONuke 2.021 but am skeptical and unsure of what to copy where so I figured I would hold off and post here.[/url]

Oh deary me, if you've uploaded standard phpbb files you're gonna have to remove them all and put back the originals.

You cant use standard phpbb files with nuke.

If you're running 2.0.17 you need to update each version in order, you cannot just go from /17 to .21 in one go.

Ok no problem at all. Thank you so much for the links. I'll grab the correct files. Now, are there any how-to guides I should read over before going forward?
