Problem with Forums. - 07-09-2007, 06:56 AM

It's not a big problem just an annoying error;

At the top of the forums page it says:

SecureSSI: The script (/usr/export/www/hosting/teheowclan/modules.php) has tried to access ../../mainfile.php outside of your home directory.
For security reasons this is not allowed.

If I knew which line in a php file to look for I guess I could just put an "@" sign there? I don't know, hope you can help.

Btw i'm using Nuke 7.9, I know I should switch but its only a test site.

Are you running any mods on your forum, either old ports or unported?

Just out of curiosity, if you know you shouldn't be using 7.9 then what is the reason for using it at all?

Sorry, I don't mean to sound like an @ss, I'm just curious.

BTW, a link to your test site may be helpful so we can actually see the problem.

It's just a test site and I installed Nuke 7.9 simply to see what it's like.
As with regards to the mods on the forums I haven't added or changed anything to them. I've had the porblem since I installed Nuke so I doubt it's anything to do with that.

I'm thinking there is probably something wrong set up somehwere in the config but I don't really know.

To be honest the link isn't really needed i've told you all you need to know and don't really want any visitors yet lol.

So anyone know the problem?

Cheers for the help so far.

Without actually seeing the site I can't even make a guess. I'd suggest you ask your webhost because it looks to be a limitation at a server level.

Agreed, I would pass that error on to your host.

I really don't know much about configuring a server for gaming so I don't even have a guess, sorry.

Some old forum mods would try to access forum files directly, resulting in that error. Since you're not running any I would say it's a setting your host has in place that's causing problems for you.
