A Smiley-Problem in the Forum-Module - 10-28-2004, 03:46 PM

Well, this will be a bit difficult for me to post this (coz I'm not english) ^^

I'm new to nuke and i'm glad to have managed the installation and set-up etc..
I'm a big fan of that type of php, and i think i'm doing well at the moment. But now i have a little Problem concerning the php-forum of nuke.
I already searched in several communities and found some people with the same problem. The answer was always the same. It sounds very easy i thought: Just upload the smiles in the smiley-folder and "add" in the acp.
But it's a bit different in the phpBB for nuke... It can't find the pictures.. I always see the typical "red cross" :?

I hope u guys can help me; & I hope it's in the correct area
(And sry for my bad english) ^^

The smiles are stored in modules/Forums/images/smiles/ add your image there, then go to the forum panel (admin panel > forums) and click on the Smilies link.

Sorry for the double-posting; but i have to get this active
I already tried to type in a different root path for the smileys... well, nothing special happened; I'm still not able to add some new smileys... i even can't choose some smileys or import a smiley-pack... it's making someone crazy ^^

Posting something in the forums that includes a smile, does it shows the smile? or does it gives a red x? if yes what is the path displayed for the smile?

if it shows the smilies then i don't see any problem with the permissions, just upload the smilies u want to add to myspecificfolder/html/modules/Forums/images/smiles/ go to the forum panel -> smilies, find the smilie you want to add and add it.

Again; Posting the smile -> shows it...
But if i want to add some smiles -> it can't find them...

If it sounds a bit agresive -> Sorry, didn't mean it ^^

Its ok.
Well i can think of a reason this is happening, are your files chmod'ed correctly? try chmoding them to 777.
What is your site?
