fiapple211 Table Header Cells alignment issues - 12-17-2005, 03:58 PM

Let me just say, this theme is really well done. I didn't really like the color scheme but I loved the way the entire theme loaded quickly and efficiently. Obviously Daz and mikem know what their doing, great work guys!

I've modified the look of this theme pretty heavily adding flash to the header (header still not complete though) and altering the color scheme.

The only issue that I've been having problems with is the Table Header Cells. For the life of me I can't get them to align properly no matter what I do. I've altered the style.css and forums.css in every possible configuration I could think of, I've even altered the header.html file and still no go. I've even replaced the images with one large image and still have alignment issues, hence why I joined here and why I'm posting sounding like a tard :?

Please keep in mind that I am by no means a .css expert nor an html or php expert. You can see a good example of the image problems here: http://www.gamemoviemaking.com/index.php (Please scroll to the bottom of the page), and here: http://www.gamemoviemaking.com/modules.php?name=Forums

Sorry about the stupid questions but I have poured countless hours into this one issue and I'm truly stumped now.

Also, the flash header doesn't work with IE for some strange reason but I'll ask about that in a seperate post.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Sincerely,

Ken

I remember when I started those fiapple themes I had fun with the header and footer, lol. It's been awhile since we released them, I'll have to load one up on the test site and take a look at it. I might end up needing to take a look at your modified theme to see if I can help.

I can't believe how stupid I am... - 12-18-2005, 06:36 AM

...my brain finally came out of the coma it's been in for the past few weeks and I figured out the problem (on the top area anyway). For the life of me I couldn't figure out why the hell a locked image at 800px x 12px would align on the index.php page but not the modules/forums page even though I stacked it with align="center" tags everywhere.

The problem, well 2 problems:

1) I'm an idiot.
2) class="ttb"

By default, that entire image is controlled by the style.css and forums.css. I simply removed the link to the .css and voila, it now worky.

What a revalation

The theme is nearly complete. Most of the image issues are fixed with the exception of the flash header (now a .jpg) not showing up in Internet Explorer only :?

You can view the theme here: http://www.gamemoviemaking.com

Please keep in mind that it's a new site so it's very light on content for the next short while.

Thanks man

I really love this theme of many of the ones I've seen around the net. It has taken much longer to adjust than it normally does but I think it was definately worth it.
