Setting a theme to default theme?? - 06-13-2005, 03:04 AM

hello all, i have recently installed php nuke 7.6 platinum which some of you may know it comes with a platinum theme. now, what i want to do is change the defalut theme to one that i have downloaded. i have tried deleting t-platinum and leaving only 1 theme (doesnt work.) Some one told me to move all the contents of the theme i wanted into the T-platinum folder, i tried this but iam not sure i done that right. any one know? http://www.grimesy-media.co.uk

1, upload your new theme to /themes directory

2, goto admin.php and select "Preferances"

3, select your theme from the drop-down box & hit submit

You could then after testing your new theme remove any older themes but not before. However just my 2 cents, themes are a reflection of the style of the boards owner thus entirely up to you. Yet they have to be attractive, in the true sense of the word, to the members of the board. Therefore, it might be a good idea to have more than one theme for the board so that the individual member can make his/her choice.
