SubBlack Image problem - 10-03-2006, 07:47 PM

I have the SubBlack theme set up on my phpnuke site. I noticed that a theme installed image was not showing up when I added my first story. When I went to go see what it looked like on the page, the story was there in the block, along with the white image with the red x on it. I tried to view source, but it told me very little. If anyone can help me find the name of the image or where to get the original image, it would help out greatly. THX - Kelly

Thx- Kelly

Do you have an image created for this news topic?

I have not created any pics for the topic, but i could, if I knew what the missing file was named. I would rather use the image file that the theme is supposed to have if possible. Any suggestions?

Thx- Kelly

The \images\topics directory is where the original phpNuke logo is found.

Well you should be able to view the source of the missing image and copy/paste it in a browser to see if it actually exists.

I've also seen a few cases where an ftp program will corrupt images when uploading to a webserver unless dragging and dropping images within the ftp program itself. WSFTP Pro is famous for screwing up images when dragging from the webserver to the desktop.

Also, I'm sure you have an unzipped folder somewhere on your computer with the theme elements in it. Why not check in this folder on your local machine to see that there is a topic image in the appropriate folder?

I viewed the source - 10-04-2006, 03:11 PM

Here is what I get from the view source:

http://www.lastteamstanding.com/images/topics/

I paste it in browser and the page comes up empty/plain white.

I looked in the ftp for the topics folder and found it. Its had several gif files in it. The question is, isn't the image name supposed to be on the end of that addy I got from the view source. It seems like it is pointing at the folder but not at any image file that is in the topics folder.

Thx- Kelly

Well you obviously havent selected a topic from the dropdown list when adding the article.

If you don't select a topic you WILL get a broken image.

If you havent yet created any topics you'll still find the topic named phpnuke, try that 1, I bet the image shows.
