Theme not auto formatting to fit screen - 07-13-2007, 09:31 PM

I have downloaded two themes from All-Themes. Baseball and Liberty. Neither will auto format to fit different screen resolutions. Every other theme I have works fine though. I am using PHPNuke 8.0.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Do you mean they are fixed width? If you provide links to the themes we can take a look.

Custom Nuke Themes - free graphics, hosting, nuke security and support forums to make your website more successful. - Theme System: View Theme

What it appears to be is that the Create an account link is not properly aligned or something. It may be auto formatting, but that link is way off to the left of everything else. I honestly don't know. The theme was created before 8.0 came out and I did have to change a line of code so that the right column would display. But either way it still dosnt stretch.

I'll take a look at it today.

That is a fixed width theme, and can't be converted to full width without some modification.

To fix the other problem you mentioned, open header.html and on line 38 change:

Code:
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%" border="0" align="center" valign="bottom">
To:

Code:
<table cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" width="800" border="0" align="center" valign="bottom">

That sucks, but thank you for looking at it. I was hoping it would not be fixed width!

Would it be difficult to just take the backgrounds and header and insert it into a different theme that does auto adjust?

Thank you though for checking it out.

Or can anyone direct towards an American themed template like this one that does auto adjust?

The header is one of the main reasons it is fixed width.

You can just download any fluid them you wish and adjust the images on it to suit your tastes. The only thing you cannot do is remove the original creators credits at the footer of the theme.
