XPOlive Blocks are Blank -

Just installed XPOlive theme to my 7.7 PHPNuke site. Extracted files and then moved over appropriate directory to themes, etc.. When I turn the theme on all looks fine on the site except the contents of nearly every block is blank. This happens for me on each of the XPthemes but it doesn't happen to me on themes like noteBored etc.
My guess is there's something different in how these themes are pulling data from the DB that other themes are handling ok? My db is MySQL 4x
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
