Auto Theme
Has anyone tried out this module yet?

It was listed on the front page of phpnuke and you can read more about it here

Looks pretty cool but I would imagine since it was originally written for postnuke and then ported to nuke that it may have some small issues not to mention I am sure that the forums themes wouldstill need to be integrated seperately.

Anyways just curious if any of you had been the guinea pig, err I mean tested this out yet for us

I want to know the same thing.

If it lives up to what it says, it should be pretty nice..

What exactly is it supposed to do?

Allow you to make html templates, like you can with vbulletin?

Well, I got it installed and I can't get it to do anything. The instructions say to change the theme to the Auto Theme in you rNUke Admin preferences. After I do that, my entire site theme changes but no where do I see any tools or templates to begin building a theme..I'll play with it somemore, but right now..I can't do jack with it..hehe.

Well, as far as I can figure it is the same thing we do now to modify and make themes. We use an html adn php editor and manually change stuff, image links, images, commands and so forth, this AutoTheme seems to do tell you to do the same thing. IT's a great tutorial though, the readme.
I thought it would be some sort of browser integrated program that allows you to go through each html and php,css files right there in th browser and adjust and modify them, but it appears not to be like that.

I posted over at the developer's site to see whats' up with it and if I'm missing something..we'll see.

OK I was right..It basically uses the same method we use here at NM to develop our themes..Good 'ole fashioned HTML and PHP editing. It does have a few extra features like

-Custom templates for each block
-Custom templates per module
-Multilingual themes
-Automatically supports right-to-left languages (currently Arabic and Hebrew)

but for the most part, you still have to manually edit the html files in your Favorite editor(dreamweaver) and then go from there. The AutoTheme is basically a template for you to start from..It does have some great tips and instructions and I would advise anyone developing their own theme to at least download it and take a look at the documentation.

Autotheme is excellent, i needed to add new boxes in specific areas. With AT i could open the theme and place each block exactly where i wanted it. This is the perfect tool.
