Can't connect to database??
I did a search before posting and still couldn't quiet find the answer i was looking for. Ok, i host myself off my own computer with apache, etc. This is the first time i've done this and now i'm trying to configure my phpbb2 forum. The install went perfect except for the fact i got the error Can't connect to database when i click forums in my modules block. I haven't configed my config.php file that comes with my nuke since my nuke worked on my pc without doing that. Do i need to config this file? If so how would I know what my dbname, dbuname, dbpass, etc. is ?? Or where would i set up my dbname, etc... Thanks in advance......

Are you using the regular phpBB Forums or the POrted ones from Tom's site?

The ported one once installed should create it's own config file which actually just calls the info from your MAIN config.php file that Nuke uses. When you install the ported Forums, the modules/Forums fodler MUST be CHMOD 777 in order for the config.php file to be generated.

On your loacal machine, your DBHOST would be localhost.

I once had a simular problem because I had installed php-nuke using AppServ which created the database called "Nuke". When I upgraded to php-nuke 6.0 it created a database called "PHP-Nuke". I was confused a first as to which DB to use when I added new sql's. Be sure your tables are in the DB that nuke is currently using and it works fine.
