Can you move the phpnuke directory once its installed ?? - 03-12-2003, 01:25 PM

The 1st install I did of phpNuke was a pre setup install script provided my my webhost... and it put the damn thing in /community

so the sites address is http://www.BayRidgeNights.com and i had to make it foward itself to http://www.BayRidgeNights.com/community

if I move all the files to the base public html dir will that work ? or is everything and it mother gonna *F* up on me ?

Should work, but you will have to Change your Site path in Nuke Admin preferences to the new directory and also in your PHPBB ported Forums if you use them. Forums/Configuration Domain.

Yes it will work, I did it on my site.

You will have to change the path in your admin cp/ configure. It asks for the path of the board, if that path is wrong the emails that the board sends for replies wont work.

The easiest way I found to do it, was to use my ftp client instead of the admin cp that my host gave me.
