Im usuing PHPBB 2.0.8 and I cant seem to get any emails out to my members. Can someone please explain to me, in noob terms, exactly what I need to have configured in order to send emails from the BB to members.

Also, people are not getting the activation emails from the BB. Cant this all be from the same problem or is there yet another setting I missed??

Check your server and make sure they have mail() activated. Sounds like a server problem, not a Nuke problem.

Last couple sites I setup for people have had problems with activation emails. Most of them turned out to be yahoo/hotmail filtering them for whatever reason, and people end up finally finding them in the junk/trash folders.

Raven's "Resend Activation" module is a helpful tool to help with this.
