comments mod/hack?

has anybody seen a mod to the comments-function?
It annoys me that my guests have to click "post comment" to get the comments-form. surely I would get more comments if the guests could just fill in the form on the bottom of each newspage without clicking "post comment".
Any tips or hints are much appreciated!
