hi, i would like to be able to add some custom registration fields and make some of them required to sign up on my site. Is this possible with the bb2nuke installed?

Unless you know at least a little PHP, and also are very familiar with php-nuke AND the phpBB ported forums, MySQL database, the different sql queries you would need to add, the different fields to the form and so on...

unless you know basically the above, then it's gonna be rather dificult. It is "possible" though.
Have you looked at www.nukescripts.com
They have a Your Account module for PHP-Nuke and PHP-Nuke with phpBB port Forums. IT has a few more features in the registration process.

Well this depends on what registration process you use on your site and what fields you want to add, because if you use the registration to the forum (phpbb) the fields are fairly easy toi custimize, just do a search on phpbb.com and see for your self. Also i found a mod for this located here http://www.phpbbhacks.com/viewhack.php?id=236 but you have to know something about templates and php.
