Forums on homepage...???
Hi I'm new to all this, I will probably have a ton of questions!
First is: Um, I want my front page to show the last few posts as I have seen on some other sites. I created a forum thing and made it my home in the modules, but now it is just scrolling them. Although the scrolling is kinda neat it is also kind of annoying (lol!) Any help? I'm sure it is because I provided no code or anything... but I am so new to all this I have NO idea! he he
Next question is: All of my inactive modules are still showing up to all users. I do not want to delete them, but I do want them to be invisible. I see that there is an invisible list, but I don't know how to get the modules there. I don't want to delete them because I think I may someday want them... I would also like the admin options to be invisible to all users except admin and they are still showing up even when I log out.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Hilary

For the second question.
Go to your Nuke Admin page. Clikc Modules. Click edit next to the Module you don't want to show. Then put a dot in the circle nedxt to NO to Visible in Modules Block?
Also, they should not show up if you have in fact Deactivated them. They should only show for you if you are logged as amdin.

For the first question, you need to go to downloads and click on the last 5 forum posts block. If your theme is not fiBlack you need to modify the script with the name of your theme wherever it says fiBlack, and change the color values accordingly. You can get the color values from the .css

Hilary, welcome to NUKEMODS! Make sure you read about this site on the front page. You havn't given any info about what you have installed on your site.

There has been some confusion on what this site offers and what the functions are. First of all, the themes, templates, downloads etc. are ONLY for use with PHP-Nuke 6.0 AND phpbb ported Forums 2.0.6 being used together.
|

This is also what the last 5 forum posts block in downloads is for.

Martin,
I'm sorry... that is because I'm not really sure what I have installed, LOL! I actually had Suzie set it up for me, that was my site she was talking about in the error post I will go read it more carefully...
Also, the invisible thing worked, thank you!
I downloaded the Top 5 thing, but the problem is that I am running on Mac OSX, I was unable to view the file. Was I supposed to cut and paste it? (Because thats what I assumed...)

Yes you should paste it in your blocks directory. I just wanted to make sure you had the same forum that we make stuff for, before you went adding things.
You need to unzip it first, the file that is!! lol
You should have stuffit from aladdin or some simular file decompression software on your mac.

Drag the file into stuffit (the icon) or whatever it's called and it should unzip the file for you. You should then see a folder. Open the folder and cut/paste the file with the .php extention into your blocks folder in your main nuke folder.
Do you follow me on that?

I unzipped it... it's just that I was trying to open it using script editor and getting a "disk error"... what can I use to open it instead?
Thanks so much, sorry to be such a pain!
