You also have to install the other files that come with pbpbb ported, NOT just the forum module

He means, there are other files in the Package of PHPBB port from Toms' that you need to upload as well.
Some you will overwrite your existing Nuke files. All the files/folders in the HTML folder.

Just go through each directory one at a time and open each to see what files are in them. Then look at your FTP, the FIle/Directory structure is the same

Notice in the pic. I have the phpBB port files on the left and my root of my FTP on the right. Notice some folders on the right match ones on the left. Open each matching folder and copy the files within each over to it's matching folder/directory.
Some folders have sub-folders, so check carefully.

That definately is not phpBB ported Forums.

here is the link to download the phpBB ported Forums.

http://www.nukemods.com/downloads/ph...Port-Beta1.zip

I uploaded it to our server and re-packed it in zip format.

well what it said was this:
Quote:
What is this?

This is a kit of 5 scripts to import database information from phpBB 2.0 full version or independet version
into phpBB module for php-nuke.

Modifications done my copland007 (copland007@thewebworks.com):
4/19/2002
- Created common.pl to place common routines and centralize
the configuration so you only have to change it in one place.

4/21/2002
- Made web based
- Fixed a few spots where 'name' should have been 'uname'
- Fixed topic_id getting imported
- Added more sql Error handling

4/22/2002
- Made separate database uname/passwords for phpNuke and phpBB databases
- Fixed signature escaping issue by adding dbh->quote call
- Fixed forum_id getting imported
- user_sig_bbcode_uid wasn't getting imported
- poster_id wasn't getting translated correctly
- post_username wasn't getting translated correctly
- bbcode_uid wasn't getting imported

Requirements:
- Perl
- Perl DBI
- MySQL
- A fresh clean install of the bbtonuke port!
If you use these scripts to import into an existing bbtonuke forum
which already has posts the script will halt with an error if
any duplicate post_id's are found.

Installation:
1) MAKE A BACKUP of your database first!

2) Open common.pl and edit the configuration variables at the top.
This is the only place you should need to modify these scripts.

3) Upload all the scripts to a web executable directory, ie cgi-bin or cgi-exec
make sure they all are CHMOD 755

4) Point your internet browser to:
http://www.yoursite.com/cgi-bin/phpBBusers2nukeusers.pl

The script will run in 5 steps, prompting you to click on a link to
execute the next step.

5) Open up importsearch.php and follow the instructions on the top of that file

Notes:
You can take a look to the code of each script to see explanations about the process of import.

As you can imagine if you have users in php-nuke users table, and also you have a phpBB users table,
with other users more, the scripts won't insert the users that already exists on php-nuke users to avoid
conflicts due to duplicated nicknames.

These are the fields which are imported into the user database:
email
url
user_regdate
user_icq
user_occ
user_from
user_intrest
user_sig
user_viewemail
user_aim
user_yim
user_msnm
user_attachsig
user_timezone
user_lang
user_dateformat
emailtime
user_notify
user_notify_pm
user_popup_pm
user_sig_bbcode_uid

All user id for your imported phpBB users will change in the phpnuke-users table if your phpnuke users
table is not empty. To make not a problem of this, the script will look for the user name of the post
message, and will adjust the new id in the message according to the new user id assigned in the moment
of the users import process.

All users will have their own messages assigned without problems.
Also the post counter will be taken in mind and adjusted for each user.

That's all.

This code is totally free. It's under GNU license.
If you have questions you can find me at http://bbtonuke.sourceforge.net/ in the forums.
Look for latas, it's my uname.
If you've got any suggestions you can do it at the forums place.
I used this scripts for myself and it worked really cool, but use it at your own risk.
Before TO USE THIS, MAKE A BACKUP of your database.
ty downloaded it now, and am going to try it again!
