I'd like to make the My Headlines section in the Your Account page disappear - the whole thing. I did try deleting the following lines:

define("_MYHEADLINES","My Headlines");
define("_SELECTASITE","Select the site from which you want to read the headlines:");
define("_SELECTASITE2","Select a Web Site");
define("_ORTYPEURL","Or type the headlines RSS/XML url of your prefered site:");
define("_GO","Go");
define("_HEADLINESFROM","Headlines from");

from the modules\your_account\language\lang-english.php page, but all that seemed to do was mess up the coding for that page.

Why do you want to have that tiny thing of your page???
You can't make it disappear by getting rid of the text

And those headlines are only shown in their Account menu not even on the mainpage!
So why all the fuzz to get rid of it?

I'd like to delete it because it won't interest my users and so it just takes up room.

iff they are not interested they should not use it and the room if takes is just as little as 5KB max.
