can someone help me i can't figure out the chmods for phpnuke and i need to setup a site soon and would like to know.

also anything detailed about setting it up cause it's been about 6 months before i have done it

Its all explained in the readmes and install files that come with it but 6.0 doesn't really need anything chmod.

well i chmoded the .php files to 666 and the folders to 777 and i can't get it to install. look on www.csaclan.com

Have you imported the nuke.sql file and edited config.php with your database details??

edited the config.php and how do i import the sql file? because it's on the server but i haven't linked it or anything.

You need to import it using phpmyadmin or something to create the database tables, its no good it sitting there on your server.

ok how do i install the phpbb2 port now? do i just upload it overwriting all the files? because i see there is a modules.php file and i am not sure if i overwrite the default one.

Yes, originals need to be overwritten by the port files, including modules.php
